Make Your Heart Happy, Stay In Healdsburg

We came across Healdsburg quite a few years ago now. We were driving up to Sonoma County from San Francisco. We didn’t have accommodation for the night and we were just planning to wing it. And wing it we did! We drove through Petaluma and Santa Rosa. However, both towns were too big and didn’t stand out to us. When we drove off highway 101 and entered Healdsburg, we knew that we had to find a place to stay in this town. We drove past the L&M Motel, spoke to the amazing and incredibly gracious host, Kim, and luckily got a room. What was supposed to be a one night stay, ended up being a five night stay in Healdsburg.

The property is beautifully landscaped, the rooms are very comfortable.

We keep coming back to this place! The L&M Motel is a cozy and friendly family run motel in Healdsburg. If you’re visiting Sonoma County, there is no better place to stay! Kim and Wanda are the sweetest mother/daughter team. They always welcome us back with big hugs, lots of love and chats around the bonfire in the evening.

The complimentary breakfast, with freshly baked berry scones and strong coffee, is just what you need to get your adventure in wine country started.

The L&M Motel is pet friendly. During your stay, you’ll have the opportunity to meet Wanda’s dog, Zeus. He is the sweetest soul and will keep coming back for more belly rubs once he has met you!

Healdsburg itself is the perfect base when you’re in Sonoma. The L&M Motel is close to the town square where there are wonderful restaurants, tasting rooms, art galleries, and shops. Most of the wineries around Healdsburg have their tasting rooms on the main street, Healdsburg Avenue – meaning; no one needs to be a designated driver! La Crema and @stephenandwalker offer great tastings and all round delicious wines 😍😍 I especially enjoyed the 2014 Zinfandel from Stephen and Walker!

Before you leave, make sure to make a wish at the wishing well!

So; make your heart happy, stay in Healdsburg!❤️ The L&M Motel is a gem of a motel in the heart of Sonoma wine country.
